Abstract

This article aims to discuss how the process of Spanish America's Conquest (15th and 16th centuries) was presented and taught in two major History teaching channels within the YouTube Brazil video platform. To understand this problem, we analyzed two videos lessons of great viewing and engagement on the subject, using discussions that transit between Didactics of History, Public History and History of America. In this way, we seek with this work think about new ways of see and think the historical knowledge in the present time and discuss that more than reproducing academic knowledge, these places can be spaces of the production to make other reflections and historical knowledge with reciprocal interactions between the professor - historian and the non-community academic.
